Reports that his partner made all the close-out putts were given 4 Pinocchio's by the Washington Post.. Steve has spent the last few weeks fixing pancake breakfasts and keeping Brenda supplied with ice and drugs while she recovers from her second knee replacement.
Frankie returns to full participation in the Poor Boy this year after sharing his spot with Ralph last year. He has been touring the warm weather states this spring to get his game in shape to challenge the "big 2" Poor Boys. Frank was recently recognized by the Franklin Country Commissioners for his key role in bringing professional baseball back to Columbus, and his many years of service in growing it to the community asset it is today.
Jeff, seen here accepting the cash and trophy from Fitchy after winning the 2019 Poor Boy, has been the only Poor Boy to break up Fitch's stranglehold on the trophy in the last 10 years. One of the trio of Fairlawn members in this years Poor Boy.
Ron is one of the three Fairlawn members, one of the six lawyers, and most importantly, one of the four Poor Boys seeking their first chance to hold the trophy and money on Sunday afternoon.
Ralph got his feet wet in the Poor Boy when he filled in for Frankie as an honorary Scioto County Dull Star. Inexplicably he has agreed to come back this year. Ralph completes the trio of Farilawn members and is hoping to make Poor Boy history by being the first (outside of Jonesy's initial win) Poor Boy to win the trophy on his first try. He starts out $120 ahead on the first tee, having won the inaugural Poor Boy Masters Pool.
One of the three Scioto County natives in the Poor Boy this year, Todd is looking to bring his well established golfing skills to this years competition. A former Ohio House of Representatives member, Todd has joined Jonesy, and Ron at the Roetzel law firm. Todd plays out of Urbana Country Club

The Poor Boys return to Canton Brookside this year after several years hiatus. This Donald Ross design has an abundance of Ross's trademark crowned greens, making accurate approach shots a critical success factor for Poor Boys hoping to get off to a strong start on Friday morning.
The Poor Boys return to the anchor club for 36 holes on Saturday this year. Designed by Tom Bendelow, the "Johnny Appleseed of Golf Course Design" Plum Brook provides a strong test of shot accuracy and recovery from juicy rough at this time of year.
Eagle Creek Golf Club located in Norwalk, Ohio joins the Poor Boy rota of courses this year. Designed by Brian Huntley, this par 71 course received 4 1/2 stars out of 5 from golf digest. With water on 11 holes, the Poor Boys will need to insure the have an ample supply of balls for the Sunday round.
